Awarala Power Plant has its origin at the end of 2010.
Allowing the diversification of the energy matrix, Awarala Awarala is the first solar project with mechanical induction in Colombia.
The project is located on a 5-hectare plot of ground in Toluviejo, a Colombian municipality located in the north of the department of Sucre, just 18 km from Sincelejo.

Oscar Robayo
CEOPh.D, engineer with more than 20 years of experience in project management in the fields of civil engineering and water resources engineering, with 5 years of participation in the development of clean energy projects. Dr Robayo has led the development and structuring of the project since early 2011.

Santiago Salinas
COOMechatronics Engineer, Master of Electronic Engineering, has over 16 years of expertise in renewable energy projects creation, research, and consultation in nanotechnology and electromechanical systems. Linked to Awarala since its foundation.

Hugo Escobar
CTOElectrical engineer with more than 21 years of professional experience in technical areas like the semiconductor industry, parts and final product manufacturing, robotics applications, new product introduction to markets, automation and control systems. Mr. Escobar holds a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from The University of California at Davis and has worked for Asyst Technologies, Inc. from 1995 to 2002 and thereafter He has been an engineering consultant and a Chief Technical Officer (CTO).
